A government owned hospital which opened its doors in 1937 to cater for a small community, built in such a way that the other side was for blacks, the other one for whites and was a general hospital then but was upgraded to a provincial hospital in the 1980s. Its name was derived from the nearby Chipindura hill.
Bindura hospital acts as the district hospital for Bindura district and the provincial hospital for Mashonaland central province and is a secondary referral center that provides preventive, research as well as curative services and specialists services.

At Bindura Provincial Hospital we offer the following Medical service to the public.We have a team of highly experienced medical personnel that are able to deliver high quality health care.
This is the part of the hospital designed for the treatment of outpatients, people with health problems who visit the hospital for diagnosis or treatment, but do not at this time require a bed or to be admitted for overnight care.
It’s a place for admission of pregnant mothers before and at term for delivery. Monitoring of fetal and maternal wellbeing during labor and conducting deliveries. Prevention and management of obstetric emergencies and sending complicated cases to theatre Giving of the first vaccine. Nursing of preterm newborn babies in and out of incubators and teaching their mothers on how to care for them
FCH Is a clinic where many activities are done on mother and child. Growth mornitoring. Immunizations for children and adults. Family planning services. Antenatal care and postnatal care. Counselling and testing of hiv, initiation and supplying of anti retroviral drugs and continuation of care.
This is for the survivors of all those who would have been abused sexually. For examination of survivors for evidence of sexual abuse and compilation of medical affidavits. Treatment and counselling of survivors as well as referring to appropriate departments.
VIAC is a department is a well women clinic for all who are sexually active It is for the screening of cervical and breast cancer. Treatment of STIs. Treatment of VIAC positive clients. HIV testing and counselling.
Where all patients with opportunistic diseases are screened, treated and monitored. HIV counselling, testing, initiation on art and monitoring of progression of diseases as well as adherence to medication. Screening and management of tuberculosis disease, monitoring and contact tracing.
We are open 24hours daily and during all public holidays.
